The inferiority complex is a lack of self-worth and doubts of measuring up to the standards of society. This kind of theory can be seen and proven today by witnessing thousands of teens in America striving for the "perfect" body. There is a primary and a secondary inferiority: the primary inferiority is rooted in the child's experiences of helplessness and dependency. Secondary inferiority is rooted in an adult's incapability to reach a goal of security and success.
